MONITOR, TRACK and TRACE PERISHABLES
|
How well has the quality of this perishable has been maintained?.
Finding out is what Infratab Freshtime™ RFID EPC tags and software do. The benefits? They give perishable producers and retailers insights about quality in the cold chain—about what happened, when, by whom and how is it.
We at Infratab call this “product integrity” monitoring—and is much more than logging temperature. We believe it brings a whole new meaning to “freshness”.

Infratab Freshtime™ Tags
Freshtime tags actively monitor the perishables to which they are attached. They can be 1-use or multi-use. They are RFID UHF EPC Class1 Gen2 compatible. Because a battery powers the sensor, they are called semi-passive RFID tags. An on-tag display and button lets you use the tag even though you might not have an RFID reader.
|
Infratab Freshtime™ Software
Freshtime™ software used with mobile, desktop or portal EPC Gen2 RFID readers captures and filters data read in the plant, in the field or throughout the cold chain—and uploads tag events via GPRS, wireless or connected LAN to a Freshtime web portal for reporting and querying. The software also programs the tags with shelf life, temperature and alert profiles—so that the condition of your perishable can known to you at any time.
|
Most current RFID implementations use tags for Tracking where a product is now and Tracing where a product has been. Infratab sensor capabilities in a tag (for example, temperature) enable Monitoring the quality of a perishable product by calculating the expected “shelf life” on the tag and giving the answer through an RFID read or button push.
