Terry drives Infratab’s strategy and leads the Infratab team, bringing more than twenty-five years of experience in creating innovative products in new market categories. Terry’s experience in software and technology comes from fourteen years as President/co-Founder of Quarterdeck (NASDAQ: QDEK), a PC software utility company. Prior to Quarterdeck, Terry was Vice-President of various Citicorp subsidiaries including Axxa, Lexar, and Transaction Technology Inc., the creator of Citibank’s Citicard ATM network. Prior to Citicorp, Terry was with Arthur Young’s consulting services. Terry is on the Board of Trustees of Boston College. In 1992 she received the Los Angeles Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Terry has a BA from Newton College of the Sacred Heart, an MSIA from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration, Carnegie Mellon University, and a Masters in Accounting, Northwestern University.
Stanton Kaye—President, Founder, New Products
Stanton is Infratab’s visionary. He has been been active for over thirty years in the field of freshness monitoring. Stanton holds four patents in perishable shelf life, using crystal and gel chemical diffusion and controlled electronic corrosion to emulate a perishable’s spoilage characteristics. The concepts in these patents provided the foundation for the future innovations that form the basis of the freshness technology of Infratab’s Freshtime tags. Prior to Infratab, Stanton, as Vice President of Marketing/International at Quarterdeck, is credited with taking a system utility and turning it into the highest volume retail software product next to Windows. Stanton’s unique approach to European sales and support using T-1 communications between Ireland, Quarterdeck’s European offices and its Santa Monica headquarters resulted in special recognition to Quarterdeck from the Irish government for having created the foundation of the customer telephone support industry in Ireland. Stanton is also an independent filmmaker and winner of numerous awards including the United Nations Award for New Ways and Means of Communication and Director’s Fortnight, Cannes Film Festival. Stanton is an American Film Institute Fellow.
Theodore Labuza—Chief Scientist
With over 25 years of experience in time-temperature integration, Ted is a Morse Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professor of Food Science in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota. He has authored over 215 refereed scientific research articles, holds seven patents in food technology, and is one of the 100 most frequently cited scientists in the area of Agriculture and Food Science. His awards include the Dairy and Food Industries/American Association of Agricultural Engineers Food Engineer’s Award, Gamma Sigma Delta National Agricultural Honorary Society Award of Merit, Marcel Loncin Research Prize from IFT, and University of Minnesota McFarland Teaching Award of the College of Human Ecology. Ted earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a PhD in Food Science at MIT.
Gary Saxer—Customer Services
Gary is Infratab’s spokesman at trade shows, conferences and industry events. He is also responsible for Infratab Customer Service. He has more than twenty years of experience in running customer support, product testing and training. Prior to Infratab, Gary was Marketing Sales Director at Monterey Media, President and Founder of Terrific Presentations and Director of Training/Presentation at Lernout & Hauspie. Gary was Vice President of Technical Services at Quarterdeck, responsible for Technical Support, Information Technology, Quality Control, Telephone Systems, and Documentation. He is the co-author of Total Recall: The Ultimate Guide to Memory Management. Gary has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge.
Randal H. Farwell–Finance
Randy comes to Infratab from KPMG where he was a Partner in KPMG’s Tax Transformation and Outsourcing and International Corporate Services practice, responsible to clients for global multinational business tax planning and tax compliance, risk management, supply-chain optimization, international and domestic compliance, transfer pricing compliance, intangible asset planning, international financing, and foreign tax credit planning. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the International Fiscal Association. He is also a Board member of Habitat For Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. Randy has a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Corban University.
Rodney M. LaFollette–Battery Technology, Analytics
Rod is a technology executive with over 25 years of experience in battery design and analysis. Throughout his career, Rod has worked on high efficiency designs of electrochemical systems, especially batteries and capacitors. Funded research activities, totaling over $5M, are in battery design, improved (low-cost, high volume) processes for battery fabrication/assembly, microscopic batteries for MEMS and other integrated circuits, wireless sensors, fuel cells, and capacitors. Rod has extensive experience with physics-based mathematical modeling with six U.S. DOE or US Army funded projects and with process control and programming of real-time systems. His management experience includes, Vice President Research, Eskra Technical Products, Manager of Thermal Batteries, U.S. Nanocorp, President/Founder of Bipolar Technologies. Rod is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi, Mathematical Modeling and Process Development and the Electrochemical Society, AIChE, in Electrochemistry Colloid Chemistry. He is published in 28 technical publications and has 15 U.S. and foreign patents issued. Rod has Ph.D, Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University and an Academic Diploma from the International School of Brussels.
Muralidhar Duvvuri—Analytics, Perishable Science
Murali leads the analytics team at Infratab. His interests include perishables chain management, sensory evaluation technologies and harnessing the power of agricultural data. He is the recipient of the prestigious NCERT scholarship for clearing the NTSE. During his university days, Murali studied the working of unorganized retail in relation to organized retail at The Centre of Excellence on Global Logistics and Manufacturing Strategies, ISB Hyderabad, India, a B-school regularly grouped along with the top 20 B-schools in the world. He worked with Xbow motes, which use the Zigbee Alliance in the Simulation of Wireless Sensor Networks in Refrigerated Transport Containers in LPFTAG-UPM, Univeridad Politecnica de Madrid, Madrid, Spain. While developing a soy-whey based energy drink using Intelligent Sensory Evaluation Techniques for his bachelors’ thesis, Murali published two scientific papers in peer-reviewed research journals. Murali also holds a patent pending on a Novel Mixed Fruit Juice that was created using these same sensory evaluation techniques. Before joining the Infratab team, Murali worked on Dynamic Food Supply Chains Modeling with Genetic Algorithms using Infratab Gen 2 RFID tags for his Masters’ Thesis. Murali comes with an Agricultural, Dairy and Food Engineering background with a Bachelors and Masters degree from IIT Kharagpur.
