Introducing

Freshtime monitors products, the spaces in which these products reside and the trips they take.

At Freshtime’s core are its tags. They capture sensor data and combine it with the business data that the user needs for making perishable or other condition-based decisions—on the spot.

Freshtime is mission-driven—focused on the events and event data needed for making fresh decisions that are trusted by and available to brand owners, their partners, and consumers.

Mission activities and events include planning for the mission, preparing tags, readers, dashboards, and users for the mission, running the mission and sharing the events of the mission.

Users

Typical Infratab Freshtimes users are perishables handlers-harvesters, warehouse operations staff, truckers, lab techniques, quality assurance professionals, planners, brand managers, analysts, consume more.
Users do not have to be technical. They only have to be able to tap, click or type using a smartphone or talk using Google Assistant or Cortana.

Data Capture - Using RF readers

Infratab Freshtime captures data as hands-free as possible—using RFID readers. RFID readers are varied. They can be a smartphone, a USB reader inserted into a tablet, a portal reader with multiple antennas placed at dock doors or on the ceiling or a cellular tower. All do the same things–read data from a tag and write data into a tag.
Basic Sensing

Knowing when temperature is too high or too low and sharing with others

USES
PRODUCTS, SPACES, TRIPS
  • What is the temperature now?

  • Has the item exceeded a temperature threshold?

  • Get a history log of times and temperatures

HOW IT WORKS

Basic sensing works like traditional temperature logging—get a temperature, alert or history log. Tags have red-green warning lights. And because they are RF, you can use an NFC phone or a RAIN RF reader to set up and retrieve data. This data can be displayed locally and printed or sent to the cloud

DATA
BASIC SENSING DATA
  • STATUS: Item ID, temperature,4 threshold & 2-time alerts

  • HISTORY: histogram, history log

  • BUSINESS DATA: Item name, business transaction data(track/trace, weight, date, ship info, & GS1 AIs)

Condition Intelligence
Adding freshness metrics, cold chain segment tracking, audio-visual inspection to sensing data

USES
HARVESTING/PRODUCTION
  • Vase life used during harvest
  • Optimal time in precooler INVENTORY
  • Points used/day•First expired-first out (FEFO) PARTNERS
  • Budget vs. actual vase life used
  • Supplier scorecards
  • Vase life left pricing

HOW IT WORKS
Condition intelligence is an add-on to basic sensing, providing:
  • Shelf life models, Points used-left, Points alerts, Points history, custody logs & metrics Pi & Bands

  • Real-time business transaction management by cold chain segment: groups, inspections, AV, handovers, blockchains

Validate the spoilage characteristics of the perishable

Quantify shelf life, using Infratab’s simple concept: a perishable’s life starts at 100 and ends at 0, the quality end of life of the product.

Apply Freshtime Points to business steps and processes throughout the life of the perishable. (Make, Store, Plan Transport, Distribute, Sell, Service, Use)

Combine Freshtime Points with a rating about the physical condition of a perishable and a QA PI professional’s assessment of quality and condition.

Determine the range of Points that indicate the best flavor or highest nutrition.
